2009 Street Crack Sealing

The DPW has awarded a contract for crack sealing utilizing Chapter 90 funds. This important maintenance project preserves City streets by sealing off rainwater going through the asphalt cracks causing potholes and other damage. Twenty-seven (27) City streets are scheduled to be done this Fall.

2009 Street Resurfacing

Two (2) City streets are scheduled to be reconstructed this fall. Both roadways will be reclaimed with new base and top courses of asphalt. The contract will be awarded to Palmer Paving utilizing Chapter 90 funds. Residents will be informed of the work schedule at a later date. The streets are listed below.

Prospect Avenue from Bridge Road to Prospect Street
West Farms Road from Ryan Road to Westhampton Road (Route 66)

The NPD has compiled a list of accidents reported at the site of the proposed roundabout at Look Park and the DPW is making that available, along with other documents, on our roundabout web page.
