- Last week, the Highway Division:
- Repaired potholes on Trinity Row, Blackberry Lane and Berkshire Terrace.
- Overlaid potholes on Fort Street, Hatfield Street, Park Hill Road, and Scanlon Avenue.
- To report a pothole, please submit a request for Pothole Repair. The largest potholes are filled first to alleviate hazards to vehicles. As hazards arise and are identified, they will be addressed.
- Street sweeping in Wards 1 and 6 is complete.
- Street sweeping in Ward 5 will continue next week.
- The paving project is substantially complete.
- The Contractor will work on installing guardrail and signs and repairing curbs and driveways during the following weeks.
- Touch-ups to the loam and seed along the shoulder will be made at the end of the project.
- On Spring Street, Main Street (Leeds) and Cross Street:
- Final paving is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 8th and Wednesday, October 9th, weather permitting. Detours will be in place. Expect heavy delays and seek alternate routes.
- The Contractor will work on shoulders and sidewalks.
- On Chesterfield Road, the Contractor will work on shoulders.
- On Glendale Road, the Contractor will work on loam and seed behind the curb.
- On Bridge Road, the Contractor will remove tree protection.
- MassDOT has contracted with Baltazar Contractors, Inc. to construct a roundabout and associated improvements to the Interstate 91 - Exit 19 interchange at the base of the Coolidge Bridge. The work is scheduled to be completed by June 2021.
- Preliminary work includes construction survey, work on the northbound I-91 off ramp and southbound I-91 on ramp, and utility relocations.
